The Ex!
No, not the ex husband.....the ex boyfriend!
For those of you that have been dating since your divorce, you know how difficult it is to meet new and interesting people. I have been in the dating scene for a while now. Over the next few months, I will explore different ways to meet new people and share my experiences. I am anxious to hear from you too.
But for now, I want to talk about running into the ex boyfriend.

What is it about the ex-boyfriend? Last night I ran into someone I dated two years ago. I hadn't seen him for about a year. After the night and the drinks progressed, I discovered that he broke up with me because he wanted to have a child and I was done having childred. Hmm. The way I remembered it, I broke up with him. The relationship had run its course and that was it. He had tried a few times to see me again, and I didn't bite. But somehow in his mind, he had ended the relationship because our long term plans conflicted. Is this a defense mechanism or a symptom of a dillusional, narcissistic personality?
By the end of the night he was offering to make me dinner and tried to get me to commit to a date.....at his apartment.
So why didn't' I just tell him I wasnt interested? I don't know. It could have been that the club we were at was full of an abnormally odd group of people. Maybe because he was with a group of his friends and it was nice to see them again. Is the ex comfortable because you know the formula and have done the heavy lifting so you can skip that part?
I'm not sure what I will do, but I promise to share.
